USB DMX Module Programmer for the 3 channel DMX modules sold here (item #26). Can also be used with xLights (free) to test and play LOR and Vixen sequences. Can also be used to in LOR S3 Advanced as an DMX Output device (unsupported by HolidayCoro or Light-O-Rama). Please note that version 2.0+ of this application does not support the use of other RS485/dongles for programming - including LOR, Lynx, Enttec Pro, etc. Use of the included programming application or dongle for use with non-HolidayCoro controllers is not supported.

This product is for sale only to purchasers of our DMX controllers that require this device for programming. Allows programming of the HolidayCoro Basic/Dumb DMX controllers (item #26 and #30 - both discontinued) and the HolidayCoro Smart/Pixel DMX controller (item #611 - Discontinued)

USB interface (computer end) and CAT5 male plug (output end)
- 6ft long cord
- Output:
  - RJ45 Pin 1 is RS485 Positive/Anode (this connects to CAT5 Orange/White or the Red wire on the DMX controller)
  - RJ45 Pin 2 is RS485 Negative/Cathode (this connects to CAT5 Solid Orange or the Blue wire on the DMX controller)
- Also contains a Positive and Negative 5v output that is not connected at the CAT5 plug for safety reasons
- Includes CAT5 straight-through, female to female coupler for easy connection to HolidayCoro items.
- Documentation for the programmer can be found in our knowledge base
- Applications for the PC are available (Windows 2000 / Windows XP / Windows 7 supported - No Windows 8 support at this time.)The address using our programmer can be written and read with the provided PC tool.The PC tool also contains a testing tool for testing the DMX input of the module.
- NOTICES: It is very important not to short out the connection (PIN 1 and PIN 2) or to apply external power to PIN 1 or PIN 2 as this will void your warranty. We also recommend that if you are programming via a laptop, to use battery power when programming/hooking up the controller as some laptops have ground loops which can pull current through the programmer and damage the RS-485 output chip.
- This controller can be used as a "dongle" for DMX output in xLights(which plays LOR sequences) or in LOR S3 Advanced. Please be aware that we do not support or recommend this configuration, setup or troubleshooting of dongles purchased after 12-Sept-12 for use with LOR S3. For production shows (non-test), we recommend checking the following LOR forum threads for supported and unsupported adapters or purchasing our Enttec Pro compatible dongle (#53):
