Product Features
The Original QuickTree™ system from HolidayCoro allows you to combine PixNode Strips ™ to build your pixel MegaTree in no time flat!
General Product Information
Designed for mounting HolidayCoro Extreme PixNode Strips™ and HolidayCoro Classic PixNode Strips™ to form an RGB MiniTree (QT1), MegaTree (QT2) or Super-MegaTree (QT3)
Only requires two simple zip ties for mounting strips - no screws, nuts or other hardware required and dis-assembly for off-season storage is just as easy - no screws, nuts or other hardware need to be removed during dis-assembly
Each topper has 3 or more combinations of string density allowing maximum flexibility or future growth without the need for new hardware
Ability to build any diameter or height tree from 4 to 40 feet in height or anywhere in-between
The design keeps the HolidayCoro PixNode Strips™ extremely close together to allow for the absolute tightest concentration of pixel strings of any topper in the industry, resulting in clean, "pointy" tree tops
Mounts with standard, inexpensive and commonly available pipe
QT1 - 3/4" EMT conduit
QT2 / QT7 / QT8 - 1-3/8" Top Rail Fence Tubing (Actual diameter of swaged pipe end is 1.17 to 1.25 inches)
Home Depot - Top Rail Fence Post: 10ft Length
Lowes: 10ft Length , 10ft Length Black
Menards: 10ft Length , 20ft Length
For customers that wish to use 3/4" threaded "black pipe" for either the pole or the star attachment, there are pre-marked holes for flanges already in the unit to make drilling easy
NOTE: Use only steel tubing, do NOT use aluminum tubing products.
NOTE: For projects using stars, we recommend using "black pipe" with floor flanges
QT3 or QT4 - 1" to 2" "Black Iron" pipe with floor flange
Allows for 3 or 4 guy wires in each topper depending on your size and requirements.
QT3 has three rows of guy wire holes (3 and 4 guy wires) allowing for maximum versatility and customization with large MegaTrees
HolidayCoro does not recommend only connecting guy wires at the center of a support pole unless you have a 360 degree tree to support the top
Do not apply excessive tension on guy wires when using turn buckles, ratcheting straps or other devices intended to increase tension
Design allows for a variety of different star designs above the topper (see our website for pixel tree toppers)
All strong, weatherproof materials designed for many seasons to come
Friction attachment to center pole (QT1, QT2, QT7 and QT8) - for no worries about bolts popping out of slots

Included, optional and customer supplied items
Included
Topper
Compression screws to lock topper onto mounting pole
Optional (from HolidayCoro)
4" Zip Ties (usually 4 per strip for top and bottom)
Strain Relief Clips - These strips provide a strain relief for the end of the strip at the ground when used with nails or other methods that concentrate loads on the node holes when secured
Center Pole Load Spreader - This 4.4" diameter, 3/4" thick plastic base allows you to mount your center pole so that the load is spread out over a larger area, preventing the pole from sinking into the ground. Additionally, there are 4 holes drilled (1 in the center of the pole and three on the outside) to prevent movement of the center pole. This item can be purchased from the optional section above on this page.
Customer Supplied / Purchased
Support Pole
QT1 - 3/4" EMT Conduit which can be found in the electrical isle of all hardware stores see links above
Actual center pole hole size: .90 inches / 22.9mm
QT2 / QT7 / QT8 - 1-3/8" Top Rail Fence Tubing or "Pipe" which can be found in the "Chain Link Fence" section of hardware stores (see links above ). Note that multiple sections can be connected together to form longer poles.
Actual center pole hole size: 1.15 inches / 29.2mm
QT3 - 1" Hard "black" schedule 40 pipe with floor flanges (see links above)
None - use only floor flange to distribute load
QT4 - 1" Hard "black" schedule 40 pipe with floor flanges (see links above)
None - use only floor flange to distribute load
Guy Wire - Due to the large number of customer specific environments, tree heights and dimensions, it is not possible to include a "one size fits all" solution for supporting trees. The following are general suggestions to consider:
Number of guy wires - The QuickTree toppers have a variety of holes for different mounting options, either 3 (QT1) or 3 or 4 (QT2 / QT3). For customers that have extremely high or heavy trees should consider using all four mounting points, for regular installations, three is typically sufficient.
No guy wire - Only QT1 can be used in short (under 8ft), un-guyed installations with 360 degree trees - all others should use a minimum installation of three guy wires.
The following are common methods of guying a QuickTree topper:
Ratcheting Straps (tie down straps) - Commonly available at many stores (Home Depot , Lowes , Menards , Harbor Freight ), in many lengths, quality and colors, tie down straps allow you to easily make adjustments to the position of your center pole to allow for the perfect angle without the need to re-position the stakes. They also allow for quick adjustments to tighten up a tree as it "settles" over time. This is the preferred method for supporting a QuickTree.
Para-cord / Rope - Commonly available and inexpensive. Rope can have a tendency to stretch over time and requires knotting. It does allow re-positioning of the tree.
Metal Stranded Rope / "Aircraft Cable" - Extremely strong but hard to work with, terminate, more expensive and not usually as flexible as other options. This method tends to be very hard to make minor adjustments to a tree. Not generally recommended.
Eye Bolts - Guy Wire Connection Points
Required for use with rope, para-cord or ratcheting straps to attach to the topper
3/8" x 2" to 6" Eye Bolts - 3 or 4 per topper (Home Depot , Lowes , Menards )
Be sure to have two nuts - one on each side of the topper, we do not recommend using only one nut on the top.
Threaded Pipe Mounting Flange (optional / not required)
For customers that wish to either using rigid pipe for their center pole and/or for their star topper
QT2. QT3, QT7, QT8: Pre-marked holes for 1" Threaded Pipe Mounting Flange (Home Depot, Lowes , Menards )
QT2, QT3, QT4, QT7, QT8: Pre-marked holes for 3/4" Threaded Pipe Mounting Flange (Home Depot , Lowes , Menards )
QT2, QT3, QT4, QT7, QT8: For customers that want to use other sized flanges, there is up to 3.75" of space on the inside of the disk that can be used
QT2, QT7, QT8: Using a flange will partially block the 1" cable pass-through. Examples of floor flange bolted installation with bottom and top flanges:
Customer Supplied Tools
Wrench (for attaching guy wire eye bolts)
Phillips Screw driver (for installing friction fit screws)
Hacksaw (used when cutting EMT conduit or top rail to length)
Hammer (installing nails or spikes)
